Tantôt Terms of Use
These terms are an agreement between you and Enki.A ("we", "us"), the operator of the Tantôt app and tantotapp.com. By creating an account or using Tantôt you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data and is part of these terms.
1. Who can use Tantôt
- You must be at least 11 years old.
- Everyone under 16 is a minor. A minor cannot add friends, join groups or chat until a parent or guardian aged 18 or older approves. The parent is responsible for the child's use of Tantôt.
- You need a phone number you control to sign in. Keep your account secure and tell us if someone else uses it. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Give accurate information, including your date of birth.
2. Sharing your location
Tantôt shows your position only to the people you choose, for the time you choose. Share only with people you know and trust. Never watch, follow or track someone who has not agreed. Parents may use the family circle and parental controls for their own children only.
3. Acceptable use
Do not use Tantôt to:
- harass, threaten, stalk, bully or impersonate anyone;
- send illegal content, sexual content involving minors, hateful or violent content, or spam;
- collect other people's data, or try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service;
- use the app in a way that is unsafe or breaks the law, including while driving a vehicle.
You can report and block people and conversations in the app. We may remove content, restrict features, or close accounts that break these terms or put others at risk, and we may share information with authorities where the law requires it or to protect someone's safety.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of the messages, photos, videos, voice notes and other content you send. You give us permission to store, transmit and display it as needed to run Tantôt for you and the people you send it to. You promise you have the right to share it. Reported content and the media in it may be kept for up to 90 days for review.
5. Navigation, maps and safety
- Directions, traffic, arrival times, speed and place information come from third parties and can be wrong or out of date. Obey road signs and the law, and use your own judgment. Do not operate the app while driving; use voice or have a passenger help.
- Tantôt is not an emergency service. The SOS feature alerts the people you chose; it does not contact police, fire or ambulance. In an emergency call your local emergency number.
- Location accuracy and delivery of notifications depend on your phone, network and settings, and are not guaranteed.
6. AI-written content
City stories and your Year Chapter are written with the help of AI from public information and facts from your account. They may contain mistakes. They are for fun and information, not advice.
7. Our service
We work to keep Tantôt available but do not promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, add or remove features, and we may update the app. The Tantôt name, logo, app and its design belong to us; you may not copy or reuse them without permission.
8. Ending your account
You can delete your account in the app (Profile or Settings → Delete account); see how deletion works. A child account is deleted by the parent. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
9. Liability
Tantôt is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for what other users do or share, or for events that happen because of inaccurate navigation or location information. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer-protection law that cannot be waived, or liability we cannot lawfully exclude.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Courts of Québec have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is important we will tell you in the app. Using Tantôt after a change means you accept it.
